Ben Hatt
Founder & Principal
Ben Hatt brings more than 13 years of experience across the renewable energy landscape, spanning solar, wind, and battery storage. He is a recognized expert in energy markets, go-to-market strategy, business development and M&A, transmission interconnection, project valuation, PPA structuring and negotiation, policy, and RFP execution.Through B-Energy, Ben partners with developers and IPPs to accelerate development and origination efforts, deliver market-leading commercial strategies, and unlock high-value opportunities across regulated and deregulated markets. His ability to expand customer outreach, deepen relationships, and drive revenue growth has established him as a trusted advisor and dealmaker in the industry.
Ben has closed more than 350MW in direct transactions and supported GWs of development and acquisitions for clients. He has executed hundreds of commercial agreements, including offtake contracts, asset sales, and strategic partnerships. He is committed to advancing the energy transition through a value-driven, consultative, and collaborative approach.
Ben also serves on the board of the COSSA Institute, supporting policy, education, and workforce initiatives for the clean energy economy.
